How and why this page exists

Ooph!....Finally!....this page starts existing. This also proves the fact that I am unable to shake off the inertia I carry with me while stepping into new tasks such as blogging! Why blogging??......Well there are many reasons to it, but initially I had my own qualms about switching from a diary to a we(b-log). Nevertheless I still maintain a diary.

How difficult is it for a person to describe himself (totally) in writing?....Believe me! Its impossible. Writing about others is easier than writing about oneself. Moreover judging others is much more easier than judging oneself. Although I believe in individuality, an individual is a combination of so many traits, that he is unsure of the trait that is going to surface the next movement, which itself depends on the precarious paths that nature offers him, to tread upon in his journey. Writing about oneself is much different from an author's description of the protagonist of his novel. It is much similar to sitting outside and describing the character.

The analogy that I am able to derive from the song -'Objects in the rare view mirror appear closer than they are' by Meatloaf, is strikingly similar to what I am trying to say:

If life is just a highway, then soul is just a car.
Steering my way through this uphill road,
Looking at the path, which shows itself so very little,
I wonder what is in store for me in the future,
But all I can do, is to learn by looking at my rare view mirror,
Of the nature of twists and turns that I had tread upon and that lie beyond the zenith.

I blog because

1. I am a victim of technology. Today I say, writing is so painful. The next generation would say typing is so very painful, and the generation next to that would'nt even speak!

2. My diary will still continue to be my diary, while my blog is just a place where I can share, rant or discuss just about anything, but primarily it is there to keep me is good mental state (Yeah......all this talk about letting out anger, happiness and "Freedom of Speech".....that is what I am practising )and hope it also brings others to a better state by accepting their comments.

Note: I might give a very rosy picture of my life in this blog.....coz, as I had mentioned before, everything does not get into this blog. So this is much similar to a photograph described by Robin Williams in the movie-'One Hour Photo'

3. Learn new stuff especially the things I am passionate about such as running, photography etc.
